BioDiesel engine by students!

Now, this story is really inspiring. I am sure that there would be some aspect of something that was either overlooked or not considered sufficiently, but that should not detract from the fact that a bunch of dedicated students can achieve what should have been a cinch for Big Oil. But then again, it could have been already a done deal with Big Oil, but why it has not seen light of day is something worth investigating.

It could also be that this technology, as developed by the students, is already patented and “forgotten” by Big Oil only to surface at some stage as a patent infringement suit!

And, even though this was first reported in May 05, it does inspire hope.

Perhaps using soy is not as land efficient and one suggestion floating around is algae. Maybe with algae, there would be less likelihood of fast food after smell!
