About a year ago, I was mildly curious about twitter, although I was quite sure that it was a good tool. Just as SMS is a great tool for the quick messaging without the interference of a phone call, twitter falls into that quick bursts category very nicely. I think the tipping point was the unfortunate Mumbai bombing in December when the twittersphere just lit up with hundreds of tweets per minute.

There is tremendous innovation now happening in the twitter space – with tweet grid, tweetwheel, firefox twitter plugins, mushrooming everywhere. Exciting times!
