The spin doctoring has started

It is baffling that people who are otherwise smart and reasonable, when working for companies that are so used to spinning their own yarn, would not call it quits. This sponsored survey, complete with all the requisite percentages and conclusions, is yet another example in the long list of how these practises are not helpful nor worth the effort in the 21st century. I can’t imagine how the PR departments of Microsoft and Novell continue to believe that people will still buy into such thrash. Perhaps, the key detail on why this is such a warped “survey”, is to look at who actually ran it – Penn, Schoen & Berland. Googling them, shows how good they are in all forms of spindoctoring. Microvell has, I am sure, a whole stable of such external spindoctors who will run any survey to their master’s bidding. Sigh.
