As the earth passed a point in space that marks the start of the next trip of the planet around our Sun, humanity comes together (ok, may be now all, which is sad), to ponder the future and reflect on the past. And yes, we have a label assigned to it as well – in the form of a number that is part of a sequence. And this time (no pun intended) it shall be 2019.
And as has become traditional, there is celebrations to route out the old and usher in the new, as if nature cares. It is, nonetheless, the mark of a form of intelligent life that there is some form of observation of the seasons. Not just observing, but recording, learning from, acting on, anticipating and thriving.
I am glad to be a member of that intelligent lifeform.
With that, here’s to our collective trip around our Sun and we will meet back in this same spot in space in 365 days, and when we do, tell me what you’ve experienced, felt, learned, done, remembered, forgot and rejoiced.
As prompted by my friend, @bernardleong, I will attempt at a blog post a week for this year.
