Great writeup Jack!

As I have alluded to in earlier posts, and something my sons and wife know, I have always wanted to be an astronaut – ever since I watched the Apollo 11 moon landing on our 19″ black and white TV back in 1969. And in Jack’s post, he shows how NASA uses Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise Linux extensively. Never did get to work for NASA nor become an astronaut, but at least I get to use and contribute to Fedora/RHEL!

Now look at the report about the world’s #1 supercomputer running Fedora as well. Sweet!

  1. Uh, sure that customers drove the move: the customers were not buying SLES licenses so Novell had to settle for an additional income source, money from Microsoft.
