I was kinda apprehensive when the reports came out that Google was to launch a payment site in competition with the likes of PayPal and that they were calling it GBuy. Thankfully, it did not happen and someone must have heard something and changed it to checkout.google.com. GBuy rhymes and sounds very much like a swear word in Singlish. Phew, we were that close!
